At Gallagher we believe that a modern, well maintained fleet of operated and non-operated plant is essential to a top grade civil engineering, building and aggregates business.
Our plant fleet is used extensively across the organisation, on our building projects, civil engineering sites, in the quarry and at the landfill sites. This builds reassurance and confidence by guaranteeing reliability and availability. Modern, well-maintained plant and equipment operated and maintained by our own experienced and reliable people is a key feature of a responsible, safe operation.
The Gallagher Group has its own dedicated workshop and yard to maintain its plant and transport fleet to the highest standard. Maintenance vans with on-board equipment are able to deal with breakdowns on sites.
Considerable capital is invested in plant, equipment and lorries. Plant is reviewed regularly to ensure that once they have reached a certain number of working hours, they are replaced with new up-to-date machines to maintain quality, reliability and safety.
At Hermitage Quarry and Blaise Farm Quarry there is mobile plant (dump trucks, heavy excavators etc.) and fixed plant (ready mix concrete equipment, trommels, crushing & washing and silt washing plants).
