We are looking for enthusiastic and driven professionals to work on our Gallagher Limited sites in both Kent and Suffolk. Reporting directly to the Contracts Managers or Managing Engineer, you will have a strong track record of success and a dedicated team of professionals, specialising in providing innovative engineering services that transform ideas into reality.
The role will consist of leading projects from concept through to construction, producing site levels, highways, and drainage designs. The role would be perfect for someone who has gained experience in all aspects of site engineering. The successful candidate must be an experienced site engineer, competent in the use of Leica Total Stations and other relevant engineering equipment, ensuring that the site teams are provided with accurate and timely information.
Candidates must:
- Believe in and uphold our company values.
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills.
- Excellent IT and math skills.
- Proficient in all MS Office (in particular Outlook & Excel).
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and ideally an understanding of Civils 3D to develop isopachytes for cut/fill models.
- SSSTS/SMSTS.
- CSCS Card.
- Candidates must be experienced site engineers, competent in the use of Leica Total Stations and other relevant engineering equipment, ensuring that the site teams are provided with accurate and timely information.
- Good financial management skills.
- Good knowledge of construction methods and materials.
- A friendly, self-starter and highly motivated individual that can work on their own initiative to tight timeframes as well as manage the wider team.
- At least ten years’ experience in engineering.
- Degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
- Full UK driving licence required as candidate will be required to travel between office and visiting sites.
- Have proof of Right to Work in the UK.
Role Description:
- Liaising with site team and main contractors.
- Good man management and interpersonal skills and able to lead when required.
- Forward thinking, innovative and problem solving.
- Topographical Surveys and producing As-Built surveys to a high standard.
- Previous experience in setting out infrastructure works including roads and drainage, RC ground beams and pile caps and civils construction in general.
- Use of GPS and total station equipment (TS16).
- Raising Technical Queries (RFI) and Verbal Instructions (CVI).
- Responsible for Quality Inspections and checks.
- Understanding of Inspection & Test Plans.
