Dependant on site location however general site hours are 07.30 – 17.30 with the possibility of working a Saturday as and when required by the business.

We have an exciting opportunity for a HSEQ Advisor within our civil engineering and groundworks business. As a HSEQ Advisor you will be reporting to the HSEQ Manager, you will provide HSE support and advice to a civils / groundworks / building site-based management team whilst upholding the polices and ethics of the business and client. You will be site-based on a large project in North Kent overseeing the HSE requirements.

The contract duration is 18 months with the option to be self-employed or employed on a contract basis. This may lead to a full-time position after completion of the project for the right person.

Job Description:

  • Project based role.
  • Carry out site inspections and prepare reports.
  • Undertake accident / incident investigations as necessary.
  • Identify training needs of the workforce through observation and liaison with the site team.
  • Assist with RA/MS preparation. Assist with preparation for future works.
  • Advise on HSEQ policy, company procedures and current legislation.
  • Liaise with the clients onsite HSE team and those of the other subcontractors.
  • You may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as we may reasonably require.

Candidates must:

  • Agree with and uphold our company values.
  • Civils / ground works experience / background essential.
  • Building experience advantageous.
  • Minimum NEBOSH construction certificate qualified / Tech IOSH.
  • Environment qualification advantageous.
  • Willingness to be a trainer – CAT and Genny / Abrasive wheels / Face Fit tester.
  • Be self-motivated, IT literate and a strong team player.
  • Hold a full driving license.
  • Be able to provide Right to Work in the UK documentation.
