The Care in Construction Programme helps care-experienced young people build confidence, gain qualifications and access meaningful careers in construction and infrastructure. By bringing together employers, training providers and support organisations, it creates inclusive pathways into employment and removes barriers to work.

Working with Referrel Partners
We are seeking to work closely with referral partners who support care-experienced young people aged 18+ who may benefit from structured pathways into employment and training.
Referral partners will play a key role in:
- Identifying and referring suitable young people
- Supporting engagement and attendance
- Working collaboratively with programme partners to help participants succeed
- Promoting long-term positive outcomes for care-experienced young people
Pilot Locations
Two pilot programmes will be delivered across London and Kent through established skills hub locations, including:
- Places for London Skills Hubs at Build East (Stratford) & Earls Court
- Kent Skills Hub (Maidstone, Kent)
The first cohort is scheduled to begin in June 2026, with a launch event planned for the preceding week to bring together partners, employers and referral organisations.
