The £2 million regeneration of Mote Park in Maidstone by Gallagher has just been completed. The regenerated park was officially reopened on Sunday 24 June by the Mayor of Maidstone, Cllr Rodd Nelson-Gracie.
The Mote Park Grand Opening was held alongside the Kent Kite Festival, with special appearances by Peppa Pig and George.
Mote Park was awarded funding for a regeneration project by The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and the Big Lottery Fund (BIG) under its Parks for People scheme.
Last Autumn Gallagher was appointed main contractor for the regeneration project. As a local company, we love to work on local projects that can really make a difference. That is why we were very proud to have worked on the regeneration of Mote Park.
Gallagher's contract included:
In addition, Gallagher took building waste away from Mote Park to its Hermitage Quarry, processed it in its recycling plant into quality recycled aggregates and returned it straight away to be reused in the Mote Park regeneration project.
