Woolwich Barracks
Gallagher was appointed by a new client Interserve Project Services Ltd who are designing and building a new Medical Centre together with the infrastructure to new accommodation blocks for army personnel at Woolwich Barracks. The works will include, deep drainage in excess of 10m; new infrastructure duct work; drainage and diversions, including foundations for the Medical Centre. Works commenced on site on 02 June 2008.

Cementation, Isle of Grain
Gallagher was appointed by Cementation, who are employed as a piling contractor by CB& I, to pile cap a tie in area carrying pipework between the storage and process areas. This is one of the biggest engineering projects in the country. This is a small part of Phase 2 for three tanks. Phase 3 proposes a further tank, including a new jetty facility. Each tank is bigger in size than the Albert Hall.

Schooner Court, Crossways, Dartford
Gallagher were appointed by McLaren to undertake enabling, earthworks (cut & fill), drainage and substructure works to this project comprising of new offices and business units. Works commenced on site on 30 April 2008.

Denton Wharf - Gravesend
Gallagher is Principal Contractor and part of the Clients team in constructing the new 33m high remix mortar plant. Currently constructing a 7m deep sandpit and there are extensive temporary works, which involves sheet piling & hydraulic bracing being installed. 750m³ of concrete has been placed in the foundation bases and ground floor slabs, which are close to completion. We are also installing external drainage, pumping station, perimeter kerbs and external slabs.

Kings Hill, West Malling
Gallagher has been working on this development for the past 13 years. Our works consist of the construction of all roads, installation of all foul and surface water drainage, extensive bulk earthworks, construction of EDF sub-stations and the construction of an office development at 42 Kings Hill Avenue. The Gallagher site manager that has been on this project for the whole of this time. The overall development is managed by Liberty Property Trust UK.

West Kent College, Tonbridge
Galliford Try are constructing new College buildings for West Kent College, Tonbridge, and have appointed Gallagher to carry out the substructures, drainage and external works for this major contract, which is being constructed with phased handovers to maintain the existing site operations.

Rolex, Kings Hill
Faithdean are acting as Management Contractors on the construction of a prestigious new headquarters building for Rolex on the ongoing site at Kings Hill, West Malling. Gallagher have been appointed by Faithdean to carry out the groundworks for this project.

St George's School, Broadstairs
As part of BSF in Kent (Building Schools for the Future), Kier as one of the consortium have appointed Gallagher Contractors to carry out the groundworks on the first school to be released at St. George's, Broadstairs. The requirement for Kier is to construct new accommodation at the school whilst maintaining school operations until total occupation of the new faciliteis are available.

Kemsley
Fitzpatrick are constructing a distribution warehouse for Morrison on the site at Kemsley and Gallagher are being employed to carry out external works, service trenches and Highway works for them.

Northfleet School for Girls
This project at Northfleet School for Girls is part of the BSF scheme (Building Schools for the Future); Willmott Dixon being part of the Contractor consortium for the scheme.

New Estate Road, Burgess Hill
Gallagher are Principal Contractor on this project for PPG Southern Ltd, have successfully completed phase 1 of the works, which comprised bulk excavation works, the formation of an embankment and the construction of a new development road. Phase 2 of the works are planned to commence in April 2008, when section 278 approvals have been granted.
Contract value: £1 million.
Phase 1 completed January 2008. Phase 2 completed August 2008.
Due for completion: Phase 3 October 2008.
Stepstile Meadow, Reigate
Following the success of delivering an enabling works package for Carillion piling (guide wall / capping beam / piling & anchorage attendance), Gallagher have been successful in securing the main works. The project comprises civil and structural works in connection with the construction of an underground car park with associated accommodation and facilities. It also includes the substructure works associated with the adjacent house and underground cinema and games room areas.
Contract value: £1.7 million
Due for completion: Late 2008.
