Cycling for Demelza Hospice
A ‘triumphant trio’ have been selected (press ganged), following a tough Pre-Qualification (we had bikes with bells) to enter into an extremely arduous (pub crawl) trip to Paris to raise funds for Demelza from 2nd to 6th May.
And the scary thing is, it’s in two weeks’ time!
We have left it very late to seek sponsorship and we would welcome any support you can provide.
It has been really tough trying to ‘train’ this year as the weather has been against us big time (quote for Stevie G), however, we will do our best not to let you all down and feel assured we will ‘sample’ the local delights en route to Paris.
We have been one of the major contributors to Demelza, through their various ‘sponsorship’ campaigns, and hope to hit the collective £50,000 mark with this year’s effort - this is something we should all feel extremely proud of.
Now for the story….
The Gallagher Group has been closely associated with Demelza for the last few years and this year is no exception. Our 3-strong team consisting of Steve Gallagher, Richard Harrison and Adrian Hollamby have decided to cycle 286 miles from Sittingbourne to Paris to support this fantastic local charity. To date, the contingent have raised over £35,000 through the help and support of family, friends, work colleagues and most importantly both clients and our supply chain. This year we are hoping to raise a further £15,000 and then graciously retire from the saddle!
Demelza needs to raise in excess of £8 million a year to sustain two centres in Sittingbourne and in Eltham, and desperately need fundraising support to continue to provide care for life limited children and their families, by offering respite breaks, end of life care and bereavement support.

The team will be very thankful for any donations received, big or small, and all the money raised will be gratefully received by Demelza, enabling them to carry on their incredible work.
