Lipscomb Volvo, Aylesford
Gallagher was Principal Contractor on this prestigious design and build
development for Lipscomb, creating a modern multi-brand motor
showroom and motor servicing workshop.
The relationship with Lipscomb commenced with the land sale by Gallagher
Properties and then developed through the construction contract and
continues today. This development therefore epitomised the perfect project
for Gallagher linking together our expertise in property, construction and
construction materials and acts as a showpiece for what we have to offer.
Construction works commenced with demolitions, fencing and
refurbishment of an existing building to from a short term showroom for
Lotus.
Prior to construction commencing on site considerable time had been spent
ensuring that the design suited the client’s requirements to ensure the
product was right and that there was certainty on quality, programme and
budget.
The construction team went about the job in Gallagher style. Our civil
engineering operation formed the foundations and the external works were
completed up to base course thereby providing a clean site with extensive
lay down areas for the steel frame erectors and following trades.
All aggregates and ready mix concrete were supplied by Gallagher
Aggregates and surplus spoil went to one of our registered land fill sites.
The modern, clean and crisp design was complemented by a high standard
of finishings and to this day it is a project of which we are very proud..
