West Faversham Community Centre
Gallagher is constructing a new two storey community centre together with associated plant areas, externals works, landscaping and drainage on behalf of new client Longcross.
The new community centre will replace the existing centre which will be demolished in the second section phase of the project. The existing centre will remain in full operation throughout the first phase of the project. It will be handed over to the Contractor for demolition as part of the second phase once the appropriate areas of the new facility have been handed over.
The scheme demanded a quick start with a number of outstanding design issues to resolve ‘on the hoof’ while maintaining full operational use of the existing community centre and day nursery.
Late amendments to the scope of drainage systems imposed both technical and commercial challenges which have been resolved quickly and efficiently by the Gallagher project team.
