The project comprises a new 50,000 sq ft Sainsbury supermarket together with underground car parking facilities on the site of an old bus station.
Gallagher’s contract entailed bulk earthworks, RC substructures, drainage including attenuation and external works required for the new store.
Gallagher was also appointed to undertake section 278 Agreement, and improved the roads around the new supermarket.
This was a fast-track scheme and was completed in February 2012.
