Morrisons, Hadleigh
The new Morrisons is the flagship development for the Castle Point Regeneration Partnership’s plans to overhaul Hadleigh town centre. The new Morrisons supermarket was built on the site of an existing Land Rover dealership, adjacent to the A13 in Hadleigh, Essex.
Gallagher did the groundworks, drainage and external works for the realignment of the existing car park and the construction of a new car park following demolition of the old Morrisons supermarket. This included pile caps, ground beams, flood pour slab, dock levelers, service yard and off site drainage work for foul drainage connection.
The existing store remained open and trading throughout the contract, which placed firm constraints on the site operations.
