Kent Institute of Medicine and Surgery
Gallagher worked on the prestigious new Kent Institute for Medicine and Surgery at Newnham Court, Maidstone on behalf of Vinci.
The Kent Institute for Medicine and Surgery is a new £90 million hospital campus, which will serve the needs of the people of Kent, delivering complex surgical care, day treatment and outpatient consultation for a variety of clinical specialities. The new Kent Clinic will mean that people can be treated locally without having to travel to London - healthcare needs for the most demanding conditions will be met locally for the first time.
Gallagher undertook the complete infrastructure package incorporating bulk earthworks & off-site disposal, substructures to four separate buildings over two different levels, drainage, external works and car parking and S278 highway works.
In addition Gallagher constructed the new access road and make improvements to an existing roundabout as part of the S278 agreement.
Aggregates and ready mix concrete were supplied from Gallagher’s nearby Hermitage Quarry.
Work run from April 2012 through to March 2014, spread over two phases.
