Gallagher supplying Kentish Ragstone to new housing development in Maidstone

  • A Coursed And Split Faced Kentish Ragstone Wall

Gallagher's Masonry Department has secured an order from Bellway Homes for coursed split faced Kentish Ragstone with a saddle back coping stone for a boundary wall at a new housing development on Hermitage Lane, Maidstone.

Kentish Ragstone is the most widespread building stone used across the South East of England, so by requesting Kentish Ragstone for the boundary wall, Bellway is ensuring that this new housing development, on the site of the former nurses' home, will blend in with the Kent's local architecture.

Gallagher is the only company still quarrying Kentish Ragstone. From its Hermitage Quarry on Hermitage Lane, Gallagher is able to produced a range of dressed Kentish Ragstone building stones for new build and restoration projects.
