New Special Needs school in Brent
Gallagher has completed work on a new special needs school in Brent, North West London.
The Village School is being rebuilt by Brent Council and will be a new centre of excellence for pupils with special educational needs (SEN). It will provide the best care and education possible for children aged from two to nineteen with complex learning difficulties and disabilities.
Gallagher was initially contracted by a new client, Leadbitters, to do the externals for an enclosed courtyard but the quality of Gallagher's work led to the client giving the full externals package to Gallagher, which included tarmac, block paving, kerbing, drainage, services and earthwork.
When the school opens in the summer, the children will be able to enjoy a wide variety of different play areas, all of which are visually attractive and stimulating for the children.
