Gallagher donates Kentish Ragstone plinth for new 36 Engineer Statue at Brenchley Gardens

Gallagher has donated a large piece of Kentish Ragstone that a new life size bronze statue of an engineer from the 36 Royal Engineer Regiment is standing on. The statue is situated in Brenchley Gardens in Maidstone. The Kentish Ragstone measured 2.3m x 1.8m x 0.8m and was carefully put in place in Brenchley Gardens prior to the statue's unveiling on 1 November. The bronze statue was made by artist Mary Cox. It was commissioned by Maidstone Borough Council and funded by public donations.
