Ryarsh restoration nears completion

Following many years of sand extraction and a large void being left by the local brick company, Gallagher has once again been reinstating the Kent countryside. Over recent years Gallagher Aggregates has operated an inert landfill site at Ryarsh which is nearing completion. One of Gallagher's longest serving and most experienced managers, Eamon Sullivan, has been tirelessly adding the final touches. The machines leave this week and the area will then be prepared and seeded to return it to agricultural use with the anticipation of a fresh green 'carpet' by the Autumn. A pond has also been formed which will quickly become a well established and permanent wildlife feature of this restored site.
