Aggregates provides Kentish Ragstone from Hermitage Quarry to repair river wall

Gallagher Aggregates Limited has been awarded the contract to supply DBR (London) Ltd, a specialist contractor for masonry restoration, with dressed Kentish Ragstone from its Hermitage Quarry, for repairs to the river wall at The Old Naval College, Greenwich. The contract includes 9 angular quoin in various sizes and 27 ashler blocks ranging from 220mm in length up to 760mm. The stone will be worked by Essential Stone a Kent based stone mason and is due to be delivered to site the first week of October. DBR (London) Ltd will then remove the existing worn blocks and replace them with the freshly cut Ragstone. As one of the very few remaining providers of Kentish Ragstone, Gallagher are seeing an increasing demand for supplying material for the repair and refurbishment of ancient structures.
